AMC Entertainment has recorded the highest month of attendance since before the pandemic.

More than 25 million people, both domestically and globally, went to AMC Theatres and ODEON Cinemas in May 2026, the company says.

Continuing to exceed expectations past weekend, 4.2 million moviegoers headed to the theater from May 28 to 31.

The numbers mark an upward trend for theatrical releases this year, helped by several big movies.

The Mandalorian and Grogu, The Devil Wears Prada 2 and Project Hail Mary are just some of those films that opened to more than $75 million domestically in 2026, according to AMC.

“This current measure of success, combined with the many compelling movies coming to our screens in the weeks and months ahead, gives us great confidence as we look to the rest of 2026,” AMC Chairman and CEO Adam Aron commented.
