A special Mass honoring two fallen NYPD detectives was held in Bensonhurst on Thursday, 11 years to the day of their deaths.
Detectives Patrick Rafferty, 39, and Robert Parker, 43, were both shot and killed while trying to arrest a suspect on a domestic violence complaint on Sept. 10, 2004.
Police Chief Joseph Fox says a promise was made at the officers' funerals that the NYPD would never forget their dedication and service.
NYPD members and relatives attended the Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church to honor their memory.
