Activists delivered a strong and dramatic message about the impact of gun violence to Mayor Bill de Blasio.
Community advocates showed up at City Hall Wednesday, bringing a coffin out of a hearse.
They say it symbolizes the rising death toll across the five boroughs as a result of firearms.
The activists also complain that de Blasio is refusing to provide resources or listen to their solutions, which include a program that would put mentors in neighborhoods with the highest rates of gun and gang violence.
