A group in Crown Heights dedicated to stopping violence and helping teens stay out of trouble says it needs the public's help to make their new youth center a more fun place.
Youth Organizing To Save Our Streets, or "YO S.O.S.," has been working out of a shared office on Kingston Avenue for a few years.
The group is asking the public to help donate games and computers to their new youth center to make it a more fun place for volunteers and children to come and have fun.
Organizers say they opened the center as a safe space for the teens to discuss the effects of violence and how they can stop it from escalating.
YO SOS also helps teens in Brooklyn prepare for college and find jobs.
