A phone app and website urging victims of harassment to speak up has been given a $20,000 grant to expand.
The Brooklyn-based nonprofit company Hollaback is getting the boost from the city so it can continue to give victims a voice, allowing them to post pictures of perpetrators and locations of where verbal or physical sexual assaults took place.
Creators say about 3,000 women have already shared their stories using the website and app, and they expect that number to keep growing.
