Police have arrested a Bed-Stuy 19-year-old in connection with a double shooting at the Bushwick Houses Tuesday afternoon.
Two separate shootings Tuesday left a teen dead as well as another teen and a man injured, police say.
Elijah Harris has been arrested in connection with the fatal incident. In that one, gunfire killed a 15-year-old and grazed a 42-year-old's cheek.
Police identified the teen victim as Kyon Jackson.
Harris faces charges that include murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
Community members held a vigil in a courtyard of the Bushwick Houses Wednesday evening, the site of Kyon's slaying. They lit candles and released white balloons into the sky in his memory.
"He loved sports," says Cynthia Perez, who tells News 12 she regards all of the children in the complex as her own. "He loved his video games. He loved the girls."
The other shooting sent a 16-year-old to the hospital with a bullet in his chest. He is expected to survive.
Police say they are looking into whether the shootings are connected.
