At least 30 people are without a home this morning following a massive four-alarm fire in Parkchester Saturday afternoon.
Officials say two residents and 18 firefighters were injured on Van Nest Avenue when flames quickly spread from one home to its adjacent buildings. The buildings were in danger of collapse and firefighters continued to work Sunday to make sure the still-smoldering scene was safe.
At least one of the buildings will be torn down, and officials say that once demolition begins, they'll be able to pick apart the structure to figure out how the fire started.
