Auto body shop continues tradition of offering free towing on New Year's Eve 

An auto body shop in the Bronx continued their annual tradition offering free towing to people who have been need a ride home from new year's celebrations. 

Five J's Automotive says it would pick up people who had too much to drink and drop them off at any location they need safely.   

They say those interested can call 718-792-0300 anytime between 6 p.m. New Year's Eve and 6 a.m. New Year's Day.   

Despite the pandemic, they said they never considered not offering the free service this year.  

Five J's Automotive says drivers wore masks and they have masks in each tow truck for passengers who may not already have one.   

They say they usually give about a dozen free tows each New Year’s Eve and discourage people from making prank calls as the free service is important to keep people safe.
