Bay Ridge mass transportation users are rejoicing at the news of the return of the B37 bus line.
The line has been inactive since 2010 because of budget cuts and low ridership.
The lack of bus service caused issues for students who attend the Guild For Exceptional Children School, as well as the disabled and senior commuters who used the bus to travel to the supermarket.
Elected officials and excited riders met up at the stop on Third Avenue and Senator Street to welcome back the dormant bus.
Now the B37 is back, the community plans to fight for it to make stops at Borough Hall and Court Street. The MTA currently says the last stop will remain at Atlantic Avenue, near the Barclays Center.
