Today is an iconic day in cinematic history. Oct. 21, 2015 is the day Marty McFly goes back to the future in "Back to the Future Part II."
During the movie, a lot of predictions are made, but how many of them actually came true?
When Marty orders a Pepsi it comes with a straw built into the lid, so Pepsi is releasing 6,500 limited edition collectable drink bottles based on the movie for a little more than $20.
We have not quite reached the age of flying cars, but LYFT is offering free rides in a Delorean from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. in Manhattan. All you have to do is request a ride in "McFly Mode." The ride service says don't worry, these Deloreans do not have flux capacitors and the car will remain on the ground.
The movie also made a prediction the Cubs would win the World Series, and it is looking like the Mets might sweep the NLCS. The Chicago Cubs still have a chance, but the last time they won the World Series was back in 1908.
Universal Pictures did release a trailer for Jaws 19, but it was just an ad for the fake sequel featured in "Back to the Future Part II" back in 1985.
Finally, while variations of hover boards are currently being made, 2015 is not getting them off the ground. For now Marty McFly would have to deal with a hover board on wheels.
