Hundreds of people came out Sunday afternoon to help rescue dogs get adopted.
The event was hosted by nonprofit organization Badass Brooklyn Animal Rescue.
Organizers say it was their sixth annual event, and there were more than 30 adoptable dogs from shelters in southern states such as Florida, Alabama and Texas.
Animal lovers were able to adopt all types of dogs of all different ages and breeds.
“There are so many amazing dogs out there that need loving homes and we’re just saving them from the people that dump them in shelters and don’t care about them,” said program director Krista MacDonald.
