After many complaints about mold, the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) is cleaning up a Bedford-Stuyvesant woman?s apartment.

Laura Anne Edmondson says her apartment in the Marcy Houses on Nostrand Avenue was covered in mold. She says since the NYCHA crews came Friday to clean her apartment, there is only a little bit of mold left. NYCHA was able to let Edmondson live in a temporary apartment while her apartment was cleaned because she says the smell from the chemicals and paint was unbearable.

A NYCHA spokesperson says Edmondson?s apartment is safe enough for her to live in, but now she is worried the mold will come back. Edmondson says if the mold does return, she is planning to find another place to live permanently.
