The daughter charged with murdering her father faced a judge Wednesday.
Police say Nikki Secondino, 22, beat her father to death with a hammer and stabbed her sister, leaving her in critical condition on Dec. 29. Secondino then ran out of the house claiming that someone had broken into her home.
According to police, the fight started over an argument over a laptop. The 61-year-old father, Carl Secondino, then fell asleep on the couch and that's when police say Nikki attacked her father with a hammer and stabbed him multiple times with a knife.
When her 19-year-old sister tried to intervene, Nikki stabbed her multiple times in the hands, body, and even her face.
Nikki now faces charges for attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon. If convicted, she will face a maximum sentence of 50 years to life in prison.
