Supporters of President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris took to the streets of New York City to celebrate their election victory.
People climbed the wall of the iconic arch in Grand Army Plaza and used chalk to write phrases like "every vote counts."
Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer even joined a crowd while on a call with the president-elect.
In a video posted to Twitter, Schumer tells Biden: "Did you hear that? That's Brooklyn."
Biden supporters in Co-op City also rejoiced when the former vice president was projected as the winner in the presidential race.
According to the city's Board of Elections, almost 73% of Bronx voters cast their ballots for Biden with around 96% of the vote in.
Those who came out say they deserve a better country and hope Biden will be able to make that happen.
