It's a chilly start to the day with wake-up temperatures in the upper 40s to low 50s. Today will be near seasonable with plenty of sunshine and highs in the mid to upper 60s. A nice warm up is heading our way tomorrow with highs in the mid to upper 70s. The 70s and sunshine continues into Saturday.
We're watching the Gulf, as Tropical Storm Isaias has formed near the Yucatan Peninsula this morning. It is forecast to rapidly intensify to a hurricane by tomorrow. The latest track brings the storm near the Gulf coast states and making landfall as a category one hurricane near the Florida Panhandle, which would make it the first hurricane of the Atlantic hurricane season. After landfall, it is forecasted to weaken and track North, bringing tropical moisture to the region Sunday into Monday. It is still too early to determine the exact track, timing, and potential impacts with the remnants of Isaias. What we do know is there is a chance of rainfall on Sunday and Monday.
