It's a mostly cloudy afternoon with a stray light shower possible. Grab the umbrella for Sunday morning. Pockets of heavy rain is possible early, but improvements are on the way Sunday afternoon.
It's a partly cloudy afternoon with a light wind is light from the east. A stray shower can't be ruled out this afternoon, but most of the daylight hours will be dry. The best chance for sunshine will be farther west.
Showers move in tonight and become likely overnight, with a few rumbles of thunder possible. Patchy fog is also expected toward early Sunday morning. Any downpours could bring brief, locally heavy rain, so watch for some ponding or minor street flooding in the usual poor-drainage spots. Unlike Thursday evening, this isn't expected to be a widespread flooding event.
Sunday turns warmer and noticeably humid, with highs climbing into the low 80s. Showers and thunderstorms are likely in the morning and early afternoon with drier weather later in the day.
There is a marginal risk of a few stronger storms. Atmospheric moisture will actually be decreasing even as humidity at the surface rises, which should limit how widespread storms get, but any that do fire could turn strong quickly. The main threats are damaging wind & small hail.
Today: Winds stay light and seas are calm. The rip current risk is low for Atlantic facing beaches.
Sunday: As southerly winds pick up, rip current risk climbs to moderate, with swells carrying more of a southerly and easterly push. Combined with the chance of afternoon thunderstorms, boaters should watch conditions closely and swimmers should stick to guarded beaches and heed any flag warnings.
Dry air and sunny skies arrive for Monday and it sticks around through Wednesday. Highs are in the upper 70s with low humidity. Showers and storms return next Thursday and Friday.
