After a beautiful Saturday with temperatures reaching the 50s, winter makes a quick return on Sunday.
Snow showers are expected Sunday morning between 6 a.m. and noon, with accumulations of up to about 1 inch. Temperatures will struggle to leave the 30s for much of the day.
Looking ahead, Monday will be the coldest day of the week, featuring a frigid start in the teens and afternoon highs stalled in the upper 20s to low 30s. The next system arrives Tuesday into Wednesday. While this looks. as or Saturday evening, primarily "wet" rather than "white," some ice and snow could mix in, particularly for northern communities.
A significant warmup is on the horizon for the second week of March, which should make quick work of any remaining snowpack.
