Police arrested a man in Brooklyn Tuesday in the disappearance of a John Jay College graduate missing for more than seven months in Florida.
Kendrick Williams, 32, is expected to be charged with second-degree murder in the case of missing 22-year-old Stepha Henry. Miami-Dade County police said an analysis of a vehicle revealed forensic evidence that linked Williams to Henry. However, Henry's body has not been found.
Henry and her sister Shola, 16, flew to Florida from New York before Memorial Day last year to celebrate Shola's birthday. They stayed with relatives, who last saw Henry May 29, 2007 getting into a black sedan driven by a man. Henry's mother said her daughter told her by phone that she was going to a nightclub.
Florida detectives said Williams was the driver of the car. Williams reportedly told detectives he left the club early, but Henry decided to stay.
It is not immediately clear when Williams will be transferred to Florida to face charges.
