A jury has convicted a Brooklyn woman in the death and dismemberment of a woman whose body parts were found on Long Island.
Leah Cuevas was convicted of second-degree murder in the death and dismemberment of Chinelle Latoya Thompson Browne.
Browne's dismembered body parts were discovered in Bay Shore and Hempstead in July 2014.
According to prosecutors, the two women got into an argument over rent and utilities before the 27-year-old mother was reported missing. Police say Browne was stabbed multiple times and beheaded.
Cuevas faces 25 years to life when she is sentenced.
