Mayor Michael Bloomberg has given final approval for a $60 million redevelopment of Admirals Row at the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
The six-acre site has been around for more than a century and will soon be home to supermarket, retail and industrial space.
The revitalization project is expected to create 500 industrial and retail positions, as well as several construction jobs.
