Mayor Michael Bloomberg has signed a bill to establish a business improvement district (BID) in Westchester Square.
The BID will have a $320,00 budget and fulltime staff to support the area, which serves as one of the borough's busiest transportation hubs.
Bloomberg says the city currently has 66 BIDs that provide a number of resources including sanitation services, marketing and promotion for local businesses, holiday lighting and beautification.
