Police say the body of a man was found inside of a car in Brooklyn.
They say the body was discovered by neighbors who found the man unresponsive inside a Ford Explorer on Pitkin Avenue around 7:30 a.m. Monday.
Neighbors say the man had been living out of his car for months due to family problems and the recent passing of his wife.
They say the car had been parked near a pharmacy shop for about four days.
One neighbor, Jimmy Dinkins, says he knew the man well, and used to buy coffee for him every morning. He says the man, believed to be in his 60s, told him that he used to own two apartment buildings nearby with his wife and children.
Dinkins says the man told him he was kicked out after his wife died.
Police say they are still investigating the cause of death.
