The attorney for accused child killer Levi Aron is embroiled in a firestorm after comments he made to News 12 Brooklyn.
The lawyer, Howard Greenberg, told News 12 Brooklyn after a brief court appearance yesterday that his client suffered a severe head injury as a child and came from a community where inbreeding was prevalent.
The comment drew a brisk response from the Jewish community in Borough Park, where residents characterized Greenberg's comments as ridiculous.
Aron is accused of kidnapping 8-year-old Leiby Kletzky in July before killing and dismembering him.
Aron is due in court in March.
