Across the borough, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is being honored and remembered by residents as one of their own.
Elected officials in Bed-Stuy held a community event to pay their respects.
Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams says he recognizes her for her monumental work, and started a campaign two years ago to rename the Brooklyn Municipal Building after her.
An online petition that Adams started in 2018 to rename the building has been getting more signatures Saturday, and is just under 50,000 signatures from its goal.
