The Gutter bowling alley in Williamsburg reopened Saturday after being shut down temporarily as a precautionary measure.

Dr. Craig Spencer visited the bowling alley after returning from West Africa recently. Spencer became the first person in New York state to be diagnosed with the Ebola virus Thursday.

Health officials have since confirmed that the Williamsburg business was not contaminated.

Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams and Brooklyn Assemblyman Joe Lentol went inside and said that the bowling alley is safe and people have nothing to fear. Adams also bowled the first frame at the alley when it opened its doors again at noon.

The Gutter owners say they also took an extra step by bringing in their own crew for additional cleaning.
