Police are searching for brazen robbers who burglarized a Bath Beach residence early Thursday morning.
According to police, the invasion happened around 1 a.m.
The homeowner said the robbers impersonated police officers, quickly forced their way into the house, tied up his wife and 12-year-old son and ransacked the place.
News of the bold home invasion shocked residents, spreading fear throughout the quiet neighborhood.
Residents said they were surprised to hear about the burglary on their block where, as one neighbor put it, homeowners look after each other.
Police advise people not to let unexpected delivery men into their homes, buzz visitors into their building only when they?re sure who it is and never leave doors unlocked.
