They say "March goes in like a lion and out like a lamb," and it looks like the same is true for February. After a stormy month, we're catching a break before winter makes a return to start off March.
Today is cold and windy. Afternoon temperatures will be in the low- to mid-30s, but it will feel like near 20 degrees. Winds will be sustained at 25 mph with gusts as high as 35 mph during the middle of the day. Expect plenty of sunshine. Clear skies tonight will allow temperatures to dip into the teens for Saturday morning.
The weekend looks good! Saturday starts off cold, but it's less windy and much more tolerable in the afternoon. We expect sunny skies on Saturday with highs in the mid-30s. A noticeable increase in temperatures are in the forecast for Sunday with highs in the mid 40s under sun and clouds.
The work week is mild. Highs will be in the mid- to upper-40s with the warmest days, Tuesday and Wednesday, potentially reaching 50 degrees! There is a chance for a rain shower on Tuesday or Wednesday, but overall it's a quiet start to the week.
THE NEXT STORM
We're watching a disturbance on Thursday evening into Friday. At this time the storm looks weak and will bring rain showers with a chance for some snow to mix in and bring minor accumulations on Friday morning. This is still a week out, but there is no indication that this will be an impactful event. However, the first week of March looks very cold so we may not be done with winter quite yet!
