OVERNIGHT: Instead of rising temperatures like last night, it will get colder tonight, back down to the lower 50s. It is still warmer than usual for this time of year by a few degrees.
WEDNESDAY: A light jacket and good-to-go out the door Wednesday morning. A light sea breeze will keep it in the upper 60s at the coast.
THURSDAY: The sea breeze becomes a bigger factor on Thursday, keeping it cooler everywhere. Highs away from the water will be closer to 70 degrees, and 60s east of the Bronx River Parkway.
REST OF THE WEEK: It remains rain-free for the rest of the workweek, but rain returns Friday night. The best chance will be after midnight and into much of Saturday. There is now a growing chance for thunderstorms midday, stay tuned for updates on that. It will get cooler behind the showers and storms for Sunday, back down to the 60s despite plenty of sun. Despite the cooler temperatures it will be the nicer of the two weekend days.
NEXT WEEK: There is a signal for major warmth next week, with more 80s and even a chance at 90 degrees possible by midweek next week. Stay tuned for updates.
