There is one lingering flood concern-- for the Bronx River. That warning goes until 7:15 a.m. Wednesday, for the river water level being higher than usual from all the rain.

All other warnings and watches, including the severe thunderstorm warnings, flash flood warnings, flood watch, and tornado watch, have all expired. Besides a stray shower or thundershower during early parts of the overnight, we are looking at mostly smooth sailing into the rest of the week.

Wednesday could have a stray shower here or there, but it will be continuing to improve throughout the day. Skies could even clear up by late afternoon and into the evening.

RIP CURRENT RISK: If heading to Atlantic-facing beaches, there is a high risk of rip currents. Only swim where permitted and near a lifeguard.

Thursday and Friday will be quiet and a mix of sun and clouds. Temperatures will be consistent and in the low to mid-80s.
