WHAT TO KNOW
A flood watch has been posted for the Bronx from noon Sunday through Monday. Storms will be capable of producing 2" of rain, with locally more than 4" of rain in spots.
Widespread showers and storms are expected this evening, mainly after 5 p.m.
Severe weather is expected Monday in the form of soaking downpours capable of flash flooding.
Relief from the oppressive heat
TONIGHT: Heavy rain is possible. Watch for ponding on roads. Temperatures are in the mid-60s.
MONDAY: Cloudy, with periods of heavy rain is expected. Storms will be capable of producing significant flooding in spots. Temperatures will be in the 70s.
TUESDAY: Mostly cloudy, with additional showers and thunderstorms possible, especially during the afternoon. Temperatures will reach near 80.
MIDWEEK: Warm and humid but generally dry with sunshine. Temperatures in the 80s, approaching 90 by the end of the work week.
