Bronx DA hosts resource fair for ex-inmates re-entering NYC communities
Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark hosted a resource fair at Community Board 12 in Wakefield for those re-entering society after spending time in prison.
Local organizers and politicians were on hand to let the former inmates know that there is a dependable support system in place.
"When folks come home, they needed an array of services. Education, employment, housing, family services, mental health services – so the various organizations that you see here today, they offer these services," said Felix Gonzalez, the Bronx County Taskforce coordinator.
The event also provided opportunities for COVID-19 testing, as well as vaccinations against the virus.
