Bronx teen hospitalized after playground shooting

Police say a 13-year-old boy was shot at the Hunts Point Playground at around 6 p.m. The victim was shot in the left knee and was taken to Lincoln Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

A shooting at a Bronx playground sent one teen to the hospital, and police say the suspect is still at large. 
This news comes as teen-involved shootings climb across the city. 
Police say a 13-year-old boy was shot at the Hunts Point Playground at around 6 p.m. The victim was shot in the left knee and was taken to Lincoln Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. 
Recently, shootings like this one are common for the city.  Over the last two weeks, at least eight known shootings have occurred involving teens ranging from 13 to 19 years old in both Brooklyn and the Bronx.
