Sports arenas and stadiums across the state are opening their doors with limited capacity Tuesday for the first time in a long time.
For restaurants and retail shops in Flatbush, just down the street from the Barclays Center, it’s preparation time.
News 12 spoke to several employees that work at some of the businesses and they say they aren’t expecting crowds but are expecting the foot traffic to pick up.
They tell News 12 business has been slow for months and that they really could use the customers.
News 12 went inside Charm Restaurant and Bar and spoke with co-owner McKinley Lamarre, who thinks the stadium's reopening could help with sales.
“We could definitely use the additional foot traffic, with everything going on with COVID if it has slowed up the traffic even with indoor dining reopening. It has definitely been a great helping hand but having Barclays open has helped us out a great deal as well.” said Lamarre.
