A Brooklyn politician is trying to alleviate stress for drivers who say construction on Ocean Parkway is causing a major headache.
Councilman David Greenfield says constituents have been complaining about crashes, missed appointments and bumper-to-bumper traffic along the thoroughfare due to construction that began in the summer.
New lights and pedestrian walkways are being put in along the road.
Greenfield says he has reached out to the NYPD and Department of Transportation to get traffic cops to direct vehicles.
He says that without traffic cops, the problem is going to get worse.
