Protective glasses that will allow you to look up at the eclipse without damaging your eyes are now available at
Brooklyn Public Library branches.
At the central location at Grand Army Plaza, they are also giving away craft kits for children to learn about space and shadows.
All month, they will be hosting activities and resources for anyone interested in learning more about solar eclipses and space.
"We have a 10-week workshop where you can learn about renewable energy, energy-efficiency, solar issues," said Fritzi Bodenheimer, Brooklyn Public Library spokesperson.
During the solar eclipse on April 8, they will also host a live concert on the Plaza outside the library.
