On another oppressively hot day in Brooklyn, residents did their best to escape the heat and stay cool.
The New York City Department of Health recommends wearing sunscreen and drinking a lot of water to stay cool and hydrated.
Wednesday is expected to be cooler, with a high temperature of 85 degrees.
The rest of the week will be dry and see temperatures in the low to mid 80s, with a chance of a thunderstorm on Sunday.
