As mercury soared into the 50s Wednesday, many Brooklyn residents of all ages shed their winter gear and hurried to their local parks to enjoy the spring-like weather.
?During this winter we haven't been out much,? says Calo Rios. ?We've been indoors pretty much, unless we go ice skating. I'm ready for the spring.?
While kids pranced in the park and adults in tank tops and flip flops soaked up the sun, some people could not help but feel guilty for enjoying the uncommonly warm weather.
?It's not supposed to be like this, you know with global warming and everything,? says Norah Zaidan. ?But at the same time, you have to take it and enjoy it.?
Residents say they believe the Staten Island groundhog Chuck, who did not see his shadow on Groundhog Day, might have been right after all.
