Grocery stores citywide faced large crowds Friday as people tried to stock up for the weekend's impending storm.
Shoppers came in to get what they are calling the "vitals" -- bread, milk and eggs. Employees say 90 percent of their Friday shoppers came in to get those three items.
Supermarket workers in Canarsie say their workplace had been a madhouse over the past day.
The store also had stacks of bottled water ready for shoppers looking to stock up.
