Hundreds of drug convictions are at risk of being overturned after several narcotics investigators were accused of improper conduct.

The NYPD's Internal Affairs Bureau and the Kings County District Attorney's Office started investigating the Brooklyn South Narcotics Division last year after an undercover cop allegedly forgot he was wearing a wire and bragged. The officer allegedly said he had seized 28 bags of cocaine and only turned in 17.

Several narcotics officers have been implicated in the probe. Officials are trying to determine whether the cops kept confiscated drugs and cash for themselves or used them to pay off informants. There are also allegations of officers receiving sexual favors from prostitutes and informants.

The shake-up has prompted defense attorneys for people convicted using evidence from the Brooklyn South cops to question the convictions.
