? Students from three Brooklyn schools put on a music concert Friday to bridge the gap between their African ancestry and the present.
Classes from P.S. 260, P.S. 328 and I.S. 292 have been learning about South African culture from pen pals there. Students like Daniel Fuentes say the experience was fun and taught him about South African music and dance. Organizers believe it is important for Americans to take pride in their heritage.
Students researched South Africa and rehearsed for the concert for more than two months.
