Brooklyn residents Tuesday were enjoying the break from the cold weather as temperatures hit the 40s.
Many residents were outside with fewer layers of clothing as they enjoyed the warmer temperatures.
Tuesday's warmup comes after two weeks of bitter cold weather and additional wind-chill effects.

Residents say they are thankful for the warmer temperatures because they don't know how long they will last.
