Brownsville fire leaves one person injured

FDNY responded to a fire in an apartment building that left one person injured in Brownsville Saturday morning.

A 911 call came in around 4:30 a.m. for a reported rubbish fire in the basement of the building on Thomas S Boyland Street.

One person was taken to a local hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening, according to FDNY.

Fire crews brought the fire under control at around 5:30 a.m.
