The Vincent Avenue seawall has been repaired 10 years after it was damaged by Superstorm Sandy.
Bronx Assemblyman Michael Bendetto helped the project get completed after it was largely forgotten about in his district.
The New York City Economic Development Corporation says it is designed to withstand all wind, wave and flood loads.
Assemblyman Bendetto is confident that the freshly repaired 11.9-foot seawall will keep the community safe from future storm surges.
"If there's another storm, bring it on. We will take care of it here because this seawall has been made to last and be here for many years to come,” he said.
