An androgynous woman who was brutally attacked in Bushwick last month is finally out of the hospital.
According to Kimball "Kimy" Hartman, she was walking with two openly gay friends to a store on Bushwick Avenue back on Oct. 12 when a group of men started yelling anti-gay slurs.
She says the men tried to attack her friends, but she stepped in to protect them. That's when she was hit in the head, causing serious head and brain injuries that left her in the hospital for three weeks.
Police have released surveillance video of the suspects they're still looking for. Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
