Some Brooklynites celebrated Earth Day with a day of live music and community fun.
A stretch of Suydam Street in Bushwick transformed into a dance floor as part of the very first U Street Festival.
Organized by Urbano Street, it brought together a blend of alternative sounds — including ska, reggae, punk, hardcore, Latin fusion and more.
Besides performances, there were graffiti artists on hand to share a piece of their culture.
