An elderly woman is dead after a car pinned her and another person to the side of a bakery in Bay Ridge Tuesday.
According to police, a woman driving a Honda jumped the sidewalk at 86th Street after making an illegal turn from 5th Avenue around 1 p.m., pinning the two people against the bakery. Responders pronounced the elderly woman dead at the scene, while the other pedestrian was taken to Lutheran Medical Center.
The driver and her passenger were both transported to Lincoln Medical Center.
Police say the investigation is ongoing. An area store plans to turn over its surveillance video to police.
