Adolfo Carrion Jr. started his new job on Capitol Hill Monday but controversy surrounding campaign contributions still linger in the Bronx.

Questions have been raised in The Daily News as to whether Carrion, the director of President Barack Obama?s new Office of Urban Affairs, took money influencing his decisions when he was Bronx borough president. Richard Lipsky, a lobbyist, has been cited in recent news reports and admits being paid by some of the groups that were against the projects supported by Carrion.

Some of the groups that contributed to Carrion?s campaign include Tri-Line Contracting, which gave $83,700 and helped build the new Yankee Stadium. He also allegedly received more than $100,000 from affordable housing developers.
