Residents and community members in Downton Brooklyn are still celebrating Earth Day by replacing bikes with cars.
Organizers say they shut down Albee Square West to traffic, replacing the street with bikes on Saturday.
This is the second year the nonprofit organization, Downtown Brooklyn Partnership and the city’s Department of Transportation will be hosting the event.
Organizers say the idea is to bring awareness about how each of us can do our part to celebrate the Earth all year round.
More Earth-friendly events in the area are planned for May.
