Temperatures will tumble from the 60s to the 30s overnight. Wind gusts will still be over 30 mph at times into Thursday morning, making the morning commute feel like the 20s. Actual air temperatures will stop just above freezing, limiting any icy spots. Watch out for plenty of puddles leftover through the overnight into the morning commute, causing tricky travel with the slick roadways. Up to two inches of rain is expected once the rain ends. This has been the biggest storm since the drought began at the end of the summer.
Watch out for a stray snow shower mid-to-late morning as cold air is reinforced through the area. High temperatures before noon could briefly reach the upper 30s before dropping to freezing by the afternoon. Lows will dip into the 20s Thursday night. It will be a slow and steady warm up into the weekend with highs reaching 40 degrees on Saturday and back into the 50s by Monday. With the warmer weather next week comes another chance at some rain, for Monday and Tuesday. At this point, it looks like a minor storm with some on-and-off showers. Stay tuned for updates into next week.
