Last month, Mayor Bloomberg (R-NY) called for a review of the existing protocol between the New York City Police Department and the city?s Administration for Children?s Services (ACS). On Tuesday, representatives from both agencies met to discuss what, if any, improvements have been made.Issues discussed at the hearing include training police officers to deal with abuse cases, cross training between the two agencies and when to issue a search warrant.
