A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Wednesday unveiling a new community garden dedicated to a beloved Bronx activist.
The Meg Charlop Gardens was planted by students at P.S. 55, which organizers say was an institution close to Megan Charlop's heart. The project also aimed to teach kids how to live a healthy lifestyle.
Charlop was killed two years ago after being hit by an MTA bus while riding her bicycle to the school.
